New Year Inspiration

How do you like my home? Just kidding!! I wish. How about some more inspirational pretty rooms to look at? Do you see anything that inspires you? I sure do. I have a few things I plan on putting my own twist on.

While I don't think I have the moxy to paint my dining room this color as my floor plan is more open, I really love the way the room comes together. How much fun would it be to have a candle lit dinner in this room? Why not have some fun with our homes?

Okay, I have four children..... I need this table. Nobody could touch anybody at this fine table. Hmmm..... maybe I will have to break out those table leaves. Need a lift? Hydrangeas are always a lift to any room. The flowers on this table are just beautiful. See anything that moves you yet?

I'm lovin the zebra rug. I can't count how many times I have seen cabinets like this in a tired old brown wood all scratched up at flea markets and the Goodwill. You mean all I had to do was paint it white after a good bath/sanding?

Southern Charm Inspiration

Like these panels? I sure do. I'll bet our Southern Charm ladies are clever enough to find some beautiful fabric or wall paper to create these beauties in your own homes. Traditional Home magazine has provided me with great inspiration over the years. These custom panels would be very expensive but if we just took a little trip to the home improvement store for some wood panels & another trip to the fabric store for fabric & batting..... or maybe some wall paper we could create our own beautiful wall panels for a fraction of the cost.

How many of us have those boring corners in our rooms? Or a dining room that lacks pizazz?

I'm thinkin my 9 year old would want one of these in her room if she could find her some fabric with Zack Efron on it!

This is going to be my spring project, every year after Christmas when all the decorations come down the house just looks empty to me. It is that time of year when I get the itch to redecorate or add new touches to my home. This is just the project I can get into!

I have a bathroom wall that I consider "boring". Hmmm...... But I'll warn you ahead of time. If you're anything like me you're going to need your hubby to hang your fantastic creation or possibly cut down your piece of wood. So start being nice to him now & butter him up real good ladies.

Illume Candles Are Here!!

They're here..... I wish all of you had smell-o-vision in your computers today!!

These are the most delicious candles I have EVER smelled in my LIFE. The Balsam Cedar candle pictured above smells like the most incredible Christmas Tree Farm, I have never smelled a candle this good before. A lady from Canada came in yesterday as I was putting them out & she stopped & said that the smell reminded her of being a small child & visiting a place in Canada with her parents that was filled with Balsams. They were not on the table 5 minutes before they began to sell!!

Now this guy right here..... Pineapple Cilantro. Illume's best smelling candle. Let me describe just how good it is with this story. As I was still unpacking my candle boxes I had only put out the Balsam & Cedar & the Pineapple Cilantro candles. Two gentlemen walked through the door ( my Illume candle display table is about 5 feet in front of the door) & they immediately stopped. I heard one man say " What is that incredible smell?" and they then proceeded to sniff their way around me to these Pineapple Cilantro candles. They were so funny, they could not stop sniffing these candles. They said the same things I had been thinking to myself all morning... "These candles are delicious! These are the best smelling candles I have ever seen."

Needless to say, we began selling our new Illume Candles way before I had even gotten close to unpacking all of the boxes.

Illume's Pear Candle. Let me say that as a former Produce Manager for Publix Supermarkets I know what a beautiful ripe Bosc pear smells like. I hate to eat pears, but I love love love their smell. This candle, if you closed your eyes and smelled it, you would not be able to tell whether you were smelling the candle or the most delectable, ripe & juicy Bosc pear. It's THAT good.

The Gardenia candle? Oh my, what can I say? Heavenly was the first word that came to mind.

This brown beauty is Tahitian. A sophisticated combination of grapefruit and cassis with undertones of cedar and musk. OOOHHHH, smells so good.

Tis The Season

Christmas at the White House.
That's one tricked out tree!! My family & I celebrated one of our daughter's 9th birthday yesterday in part by taking the family to Deerwood's Christmas Tree Farm. We all had a wonderful time selecting our tree, drinking hot cocoa & taking a hay ride. How fun!! Inside we warmed ourselves by the great wood burning fireplace & chatted with the owners. How I love the Christmas Season.

Magnolia Lane Picture Frames

My best selling frame. I have two in my home & I love these frames. These frames & our Bella Breeze aroma lamps are just two of the most perfect gifts for yourself or family & friends. Things we need & want but they are different from the norm. These frames aren't your run of the mill frames. Monogram Madness

We are obsessed with all things monogrammed! They even have monogrammed license plates now for pete's sake. Which of course I am thinking of carrying.... I just can't decide how many of my customers would pay $30 for a monogrammed license plate. I do love them though. I just brought in these monogrammed travel cups & they are gorgeous. Each letter has a different design background. Some are hounds tooth... which I love.. some are polka dots. They are all beautiful though. They retail for $21.99 & they are a very good quality.

Toile is Divine

I love this purse!! I love toile!!! What could be better than a toile purse?

This handbag is from Isabella's Journey. I have a real "thing" for her handbags, especially the ones with bows like this one or the really large carpet bags. Four of My Favorite Things

These are four of my favorite things: Amber, my third child, a fantastic cast iron horse bell, & two very beautiful & sentimental box picture frames.

I am very big on sentiment. I am a sucker for something that will tug at my heart or remind me of how blessed I am. All the more better if it involves pictures of those I love & I can hang it on a wall to look at every day.
